Help for families What we offer Physiotherapy Our physiotherapist works closely with your child / young person and family members, to collaboratively engage with the plans and treatments set out by your local health and social care therapy teams. Physiotherapy sessions include different treatments to help manage symptoms such as: Pain of any origin, working closely with our symptom management team Respiratory concerns, such as chest infections and beathing difficulties Muscle weakness and/or stiffness Difficulties with positioning, to include looking at equipment and liaising with community teams Moving and handling Support in the community i.e. attending local leisure centres Support and liaison when transitioning to adult therapy services These sessions may take place at Bluebell Wood, in the community or at home, and look at varying hands-on techniques, as well as education and advice. At Bluebell Wood, we can offer blocks of four or six on-land and hydrotherapy sessions in our SPA pool, to reach tailored and specific goals for your child / young person. As well as therapy sessions, our physiotherapist looks at organising family fun sessions, such as SPLASH at local specialist schools during the school holidays.
