A small contribution, a big difference Opportunities arise throughout the year and may include helping us spruce up our gardens and grounds, decorating the hospice with themed fun decorations and much more. As a charity, it’s essential for us to operate sustainably and cost-effectively. We charge a fee of £35 per person for corporate volunteering days at the hospice to cover the cost of staff time needed to plan, prepare and guide these activities, ensuring everything is conducted safely and your employees are well cared for. This contribution also includes a complimentary hospice lunch, which can be ordered on the day. For charity partners, this fee is discretionary and will be treated as an optional donation. Thanks to organisations like yours, your generous donations help to raise the £6.7 million needed each year to keep our hospice open to support local babies, children, young people and their families. Volunteering at our events We also welcome corporate volunteers who want to lend a hand at our events, from the popular action-packed Dragon Boat Race to smaller community fundraisers. Unlike our regular corporate volunteering at the hospice, we don't ask corporate event volunteers for a donation. It's a perfect way to support the hospice and the wider community.
